Etsy Baby!

So I started an Etsy. If you don't know what Etsy is, check it out here. It's basically the coolest place on earth where you can buy and sell things that are handmade, vintage, or supplies. There is some really great stuff on this site. So I've been wanting one for a while so I could sell my books that I love to make. I finally decided  on the user name badplatypus (which is the name of my other blog where I post non-illustration work), and then did a banner illustration for it. This is the first time I've done an illustration that is supposed to be solely for the computer, so I found parts of it to be challenging. For instance,  I would do something a little too small and then it wouldn't show up when it was at actual size. It was a challenge.

I'm still not sure where the line is between too detailed and it won't show up, and not enough detail and it's dull. Sigh. This illustration was done using the scanned in line-drawing technique. It's my favorite.
