Dungeons and Dragons Deluge
Last January, my entire family had an impromptu family reunion because of my dear sweet Gma's funeral. My older brother seized the opportunity to wrangle us into a game of Dungeons and Dragons. We spent way too much time creating characters and then had a great time playing, all seven of us plus a couple of spouses. Props to my brother the Dungeon Master for somehow wrangling such a large group. That was my introduction to Dungeons and Dragons.
After that game I was hooked. I scoured Pinterest and Instagram for other people's character art, searched out Critical Role after wondering what all the fan art was about, got hooked on that in lieu of my own game to play in, and then eventually reached out on a local DnD Facebook page to join a game of my very own.
DnD had been a great thing for me. After a long, long break from art I started drawing again. Maybe not because of Dnd, but it was something that helped ease me back into it. The game has helped me expand my circle of friends and be brave in trying new things. I've felt less like a potato and more like a person who is doing things because they like them and not because they are expected to or because someone else does. I didn't realize how much I needed a social life until I started playing.
And that's why you'll see a lot of Character art from me these days. I have always liked drawing people, and I have always liked fantasy settings. Who knew there was a way to mesh the two, eh?
Anyways, here are a few I've been working on over the last while. More to come.

Caleb Blacktooth, Half-Orc Ranger
Cheerful because everyone he loves isn't dead yet.
Baby Kobolds.
We "rescued" these as eggs in one of my campaigns and paid a crazy gnome inventor to raise them for us, like good adoptive parents.
Wellie, Halfling Rogue
RIP Wellie, who died when she was pounced upon by an owlbear. My first Character death. Far from my last, though.
